Vodice is town in the Šibenik-Knin County, Croatia, and it is considered an ancient town because it was first mentioned in the year 1402. However, it was founded by Romans, and it was given the name Arausa.

Eight winds that blow in the Adriatic Sea are generally tame and it will not cause you any problem unless you end up facing sudden and strong storm called Neverin. But do not worry, this happens 3-4 times a month and lasts maximum half an hour, but in any case, make sure you follow regularly weather forecast so you can quickly find a shelter.

The size of the waves depends on the winds of course, but they can in average be half to a meter and a half high. In case of occurrence of bigger and stronger winds, the size of the waves can increase.

How to arrive at Vodice?

You can get a lot of options while traveling to Vodice because it is very well connected through all means of transportation. You can either use a plane, bus, train, boat, or ship, or car.

Traveling by plane

The easiest and nearest airport is present Resnik, which is located 60 km from Vodice, can be your best option. The airport is called Zadar, and most travelers choose to travel through it because of the easiest and convenient route. You can also choose to arrive throug Split International Airport, which is about 80 km away from Vodice.

Traveling with bus and/or car

There are various bus stations in Croatia. There is a bus station present in the heart of the Vodice. You will also find a lot of residential opportunities just near the bus station. You can get more information about buses from the local helplines.

For cars, the recommended Highway is A1 Zagreb - Split. You should be careful about the direction you are choosing to enter Vodice. If you are coming from the North, it is best to choose the A1 exit Pirovac. but if you are coming from the Southside, it is best to choose the A1 exit Šibenik.

You should also be careful about traffic rules. It is recommended to drive on the right side, and the speed limit should be 130 km per hour, especially on the highways and the motorways.

If you are traveling among the residential area, the speed limit should be 50 kilometers per hour, and 80 kilometers per hour is recommended for the less populated areas.
